Directions

We are located one block from Christiana Campbell's Tavern which is located at the east end of the Historic Area (just east of the Capitol building). It is just a short walk from our front door to Colonial Williamsburg. Walk out of the cul-de-sac, over the bridge, across the street and you are there. Once you have your CW pass you have access to their bus service which has a stop in-front of the tavern. From there it's an easy ride to any where in the area or a beautiful walk down Duke of Gloucester Street. Hopefully, you will enjoy our location as much as we do.

Arriving from the North:  Take I-64 East to Exit 238 towards Williamsburg. This exit will put you on Rt. 143. Follow Rt. 143 for about 1 mile, stay straight and the road will turn into Rt. 60 East & Rt. 5 West (Yes, the signs state East & West). The speed will slow down to 25 mph (pay attention because police will be looking for you). You will go through a traffic light at 2nd Street (stay in the right hand lane). When you go through this traffic light you will see a small bridge ahead, just before the bridge you turn right on Capitol Court. The Aldrich House B&B is the 3rd house on the right in the cul-de-sac.

Arriving from the South:  Take I-64 West to Exit 242 and head west on Route 199. Stay to the right and take the second exit to Route 60 West. Proceed on Route 60 West to the first traffic light and make a right onto Page Street (Rt. 5 & 31 East). After going across the small bridge make the immediate left onto Capitol Court. The Aldrich House B&B is the 3rd house on the right in the cul-de-sac.

A Little About Us

Tom and Sue met in high school at Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1972, began dating and the rest is history. We were married in 1974 and Tom joined the United States Air Force in 1976. We were stationed at Langley AFB in Hampton, VA, for 8 years, at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan, for 3 years, and at Dover AFB in Dover, DE, for 9 1/2 years when Tom retired. We have 3 wonderful children; Melissa, Frances, and Tommy Jr and 1 precious grandchild, Cody. We moved to Colonial Williamsburg 3 months after Tom separated from the Air Force and began our Bed & Breakfast journey. Living in Williamsburg had been one of Tom's dreams since he was a youngman. Moving here has been amazing. We purchased our home on June 20th, 1997, and had our 1st guests on July 1st. We have thoroughly enjoyed this adventure of over 11 years and have met some of the nicest people and plan on meeting many more. We hope you decide to come and enjoy a little piece of our heaven. We also have interests outside of the B&B. Sue works at the Cheese Shop downtown and Tom is the Public Programs Coordinator at Historic Jamestowne. We love this area and we'll do our best to help you get the most out of your stay in Williamsburg.

Historic Triangle Events

January, February & March, 2010

Colonial Williamsburg is quiet this time of year. Therefore, it's one of the best times to visit and be able to really talk to the character interpreters. They know their history and the master craftsmen know their skills. It's a great experience when they can give you so much attention. Remember that Williamsburg is a favorite place for sweethearts for Valentine's Day.

April, 2010

As soon as the weather begins to warm Colonial Williamsburg comes alive with color. The blooms begin in March and April brings us the Garden Week. Easter is April 17th-25th. So make your plans soon to stay at your favorite bed & breakfast or we'll all be booked.

May, 2010

For the best Mother's Day gift ever send your Mom to stay with us for the weekend. She'll love it! May 16th is Jamestown Day commemorating the founding of Jamestown; the first permanent English Settlement in America. The weather will be great and Busch Gardens will be gearing up for the summer season.
